Intended Audience

Since its development in 1938, ECT has remained a crucial part of psychiatric treatment. Continued advancements rely heavily on skilled ECT nurses. This certificate course supports nurses delivering safe, ethical, and effective ECT care through modern best practices and proficiency training.

Course Objectives

  • Identify clinical indications for ECT and assess patient appropriateness.
  • Understand nursing care prior to, during, and after ECT treatment.
  • Evaluate emergency situations and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Understand PACU concerns and manage patient monitoring effectively.
  • Develop safe and effective follow-up / case management procedures.

Refund Policy

Refunds (less an $85 processing fee) are available with written request prior to December 12, 2025. No refunds for failure to participate. ISEN may cancel/postpone due to unforeseen circumstances or insufficient enrollment, with full tuition refunded. ISEN reserves the right to refuse registration if disruptive or inconsistent with mission.
